My Camera!

My camera is dead.
May it rest in peace.
I have had the same point and shoot since
Sydney was born.
I like my camera because
I knew how to use it.
I knew how to download, how to
take movies.
I knew its limitations. It can't take
good indoor pictures, it takes a minute to turn on,
it takes a minute to take the picture.
But I knew how to use it even if no one else did.
So I need help.
Of course I want the awesome cameras out there
but (M) that (O) isn't (N) going (T) to (E) happen.
(all feel for me)
So what is a good point and shoot?
Where is a good place to buy one?
I can't go without my camera for long
so please help!

I recommend a Kodak, whichever one you can afford. We have a Canon and it's already on it's last leg...we've only had it for 2 or so years. Look online to find the best price...and maybe Circuit City or Best Buy will match the price. Happy shopping!

I like Canon PowerShots. Good luck deciding.

Hi,
I have 2 great point and shoots. One I bought so Pat could take pics when he was out with the kids that was such an nice small size I often 'borrow' it a Nikon Coolpix L18.. we bought at Sam's club.. around $100.00 3 months ago

and my official point and shoot which he better not touch, an Olympus SP510.. a little bulkier but I really wanted the extra zoom capability even on my point and shoot.. around #250.00.. 2 years ago, unfortunately best price was at Circuit City so who knows where you could find it now!

I love the manual controls of other cameras but a point and shoot is a definite must and for me I want it to be reliable and decent quality... don't know if that helps much.. I know I take forever trying to research and decide on these types of purchases while Pat just shakes his head.
Good Luck!

I will try to get Bill to work on Monte :) (but in the mean time, I have one I can lend you!)

I have loved my canons. Sam's or Costco usually have good prices.
